Business Plan:  Location: 12904 Cantrell Rd, Little Rock  Use: Camp Barkansas Doggie Day Camp, Boarding, Grooming, Retail and Membership Park Facility  Daily Capacity: ~150 dogs  Operating Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-9:00 PM, Weekend services available, limited hours for the office TBD between the hours of 7am-10pm (staff is on site year round) Business Overview: Camp Barkansas is voted #1 day camp facility in Hot Springs; our standards of pet care and facility maintenance are superior to our field and not compromised for any reason. Little Rock has approximately 40,000 homes with dogs (based on study done in 2023), and demand for dog facilities and services continues to grow. Beside our spacious, climate control day camp, boarding, grooming, and office area, we will have fenced in yards (with modular fencing on the inside) which will be turfed to again, aid in keeping pets clean during their visit. There will also be a natural yard and a splash park offered to our members. We would open our yards and boarding facility in phases and I am happy to elaborate on that in the meeting. Camp would bring new job openings to the area, we would promote health of the pets and require vaccination records for all the dogs that visit for any service. Eventually, we would work with local businesses, city services, and special events to bring the community closer together. Our business would be open on any regular Mon-Fri from 6:00am-8:00pm; on any regular weekend we would have staff there between the hours of 7am-7pm with the exception (and the reason for listing 10pm as weekend hours) of a weekend where we could invite our members out for an event in one of our yards. Parents would have to be registered to attend, we would offer food and refreshments, possibly dog adoptions, and again, dog community getting to better know each other. In Hot Springs, we have residential properties as neighbors and we do a great job in keeping our dogs engaged and occupied training them to use their “inside” voices as much as possible. Our goal is to build very same system of care so we can continue on providing nothing but the best services for dogs to our dogs, their parents and our community!
