Home My WebLink About17091 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,091 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH MACIEL FAVELA D/B/A MOE CONCRETE 5 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED NINETY-EIGHT THOUSAND,FOUR 6 HUNDRED AND 00/100 DOLLARS, ($98,400.00), FOR THE VIMY RIDGE 7 ROAD DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER 8 PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to make street and drainage 11 improvements to Vimy Ridge Road at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing; and, 12 WHEREAS, project improvements include replacing a failing drainage culvert and roadway 13 repairs to eliminate a dangerous drop off at the edge of the road which will include pipe end treatments, 14 railroad flagging coordination, seeding&mulching and related work; and, 15 WHEREAS, five (5)responses to an Invitation to Bid ("ITB"), Bid No. 236021 for Vimy Ridge 16 Road Drainage were received by the City of Little Rock on June 4,2026;and, 17 WHEREAS, it was determined that Maciel Favela d/b/a Moe Concrete provided the lowest, 18 responsive and responsible bid meeting specifications. 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 20 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 21 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the Vimy Ridge 22 Road Drainage project with Maciel Favela d/b/a Moe Concrete in an amount not to exceed Ninety-Eight 23 Thousand, Four Hundred and 00/100 Dollars,($98,400.00),(which is the base bid amount of Eighty Two 24 Thousand and 00/100 Dollars,($82,000.00)plus a twenty percent(20%)contingency if it is necessary), 25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the 2022 Capital Improvement Bonds as authorized by 26 Resolution 15,968 (May 3,2023)with funds from Account Activity B7D065S. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, 28 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent 33 with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
