Building Codes
The following is a list of comments and qualifications, which are necessary as a condition of permit.
The cost of plan review, building permit and data processing will equal $121.50. This includes
Act 474 of 1999 surcharges on any non-residential construction permit. Provide a written
response to these items. Contact Ed Osborn at 371-4827 for building inspections.
Provide at least one van accessible parking space denoted by upright signage. The designated
aisle shall be eight feet wide. Provide handicap ramp with handrails and landing with approach,
which will meet ANSI CABO Al 17-1992. Submit ramp plan for review before construction.
Applicant may also need to construct stairs at top landing. Note maximum riser height shall not
exceed 73/4 inches with minimum tread width of 9 inches with one -inch nosing. Existing
restroom shall maintain accessibility standards.
2. The electrical is approved as submitted. All work will be permitted and field inspected. Exit
lights shall be operable and require an auxiliary power source.
3. All plumbing work will be field inspected and permitted separately. Note sewer and water
connections must be made separately. Water Works can be reached at 377-1222 and
WasteWater can reach at 376-2903.
4. This office is awaiting third party inspection from the manufacturer. The owner will be notified
as soon as this is received. This unit must have tiedowns as per appendix H of the Standard
Building Code. Note the foundation layout must be to the manufacturer's standards for pier
layout, construction and footings.
5. Zoning has approved this layout. The unit must be under skirted and comply with other zoning
and landscaping regulations. For further questions or comments please contact Ervin Tester at
371-4410. Any future paving must be shown in plan form to this office for review.
