3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ZMD LAWN SERVICE,LLC,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY-SIX THOUSAND, FOUR
6 HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($176,444.00),
7 INCLUDING APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR MOWING AND
8 MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS FOR TWENTY-ONE CITY PARKS AND
9 TWELVE (12) PARK FACILITIES IN ZONE THREE (3), FOR A PERIOD
10 OF ONE YEAR WITH THE OPTION FOR THREE (3) ONE (1) YEAR
11 EXTENSIONS;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

13 WHEREAS,parks' staff maintain several parks' facility sites and continue to oversee the full
14 inventory of locations across the system; and,
15 WHEREAS, the City's Parks and Recreation Department has a need to hire a contractor to provide
16 mowing and grounds maintenance assistance to the Parks' staff in caring for nearly half of the City Park
17 properties; and,
18 WHEREAS, the City put out a request for bids for City Park mowing and maintenance assistance
19 under Bid Event No. 227156 for Parks Zone 3 and Community Center locations and received six (6)
20 responsive bids; and,
21 WHEREAS, with a bid of One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Four Dollars
22 ($176,444.00),including applicable taxes and fees,the one(1)year Parks mowing and ground maintenance
23 contract was awarded to ZMD Lawn Service,LLC.
24 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
26 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with ZMD Lawn Service, LLC, in
27 an amount of One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Four Hundred Forty-Four Dollars ($176,444.00,
28 including applicable taxes and fees, for mowing and ground maintenance of 12 Parks Facilities in Parks
29 Zone Three(3), for a period of one(1)year with the option for three(3),one(1)year extensions.
30 Section 2.Funds for this expenditure are available in Parks Maintenance Account No. 104523-63211.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4.Repealer.All laws,ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
4 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
