3 A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT TITLE TO PROPERTY DONATED TO
4 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK BY WARRANTY DEED FROM THE
5 CRIPPEN FAMILY TRUST TO BE USED FOR NEIGHBORHOOD
6 REVITALIZATION PROGRAMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS,the Board of Directors has stated as one of its goals a desire to provide for neighborhood
9 revitalization, and has taken special efforts to accomplish this goal through its use of various City and
10 federal funds,and in affirmative actions such as the creation of a Land Bank Commission; and,
11 WHEREAS, in order to accomplish this goal, it is required that properties be obtained by the City in
12 areas that are appropriate for revitalization; and,
13 WHEREAS, Martha Crippen has indicated her desire to donate to the City of Little Rock her four
14 properties located at Lee Summit Drive, Little Rock, AR 72204: Parcel Numbers: 44L1590008600,
15 44L1590008700,44L1590008800,and 44L1590008900.The legal descriptions progress sequentially from
16 west to east across Lots 30,31, 32,and 33 of Block 7(GA. Denham's 1952 unrecorded survey)and
17 more particularly described as follows:

21 WHEREAS,the City wishes to accept the property for use in its neighborhood revitalization efforts;
22 and,
23 WHEREAS, City Staff has conducted a title search of the property which revealed valid title to the
24 property and no significant title issues; and,
25 WHEREAS,Martha Crippen will provide the City with a Warranty Deed to the property; and,
26 WHEREAS,state law requires that the City accept the property by resolution adopted by the Board of
27 Directors.
28 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
29 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
30 Section 1.The Board of Directors hereby accepts the donation in favor of the City of Little Rock.
31 Section 2.The property shall be used for a public purpose,specifically for City revitalization programs.
32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
34 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 ordinance.
3 Section 4.Repealer.All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions of this resolution are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
