3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A CONTRACT WITH BOYLES
4 CONSTRUCTION, INC. IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO
5 HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND, THIRTY-SEVEN AND 98/100
6 DOLLARS, ($212,037.98), FOR THE BOYD STREET
7 RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES

9 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to make street and drainage
10 improvements to Boyd Street from 44th Street to 43`d Street(Ward 6); and,
11 WHEREAS,project improvements include construction of new curb&gutter,curb inlets,
12 underground drainage pipes, new sidewalk, reconstruction of driveway aprons and related work;
13 and,
14 WHEREAS,nine(9)responses to an Invitation to Bid("ITB"),Bid No.233125 for Boyd
15 Street Reconstruction were received by the City of Little Rock on May 19,2026; and,
16 WHEREAS, it was determined that Boyles Construction, Inc. provided the lowest,
17 responsive, responsible bid meeting specifications.
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
19 THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the Boyd
21 Street Reconstruction project with Boyles Construction, Inc. in an amount not to exceed Two
22 Hundred Twelve Thousand,Thirty Seven and 98/100 Dollars,($212,037.98),which is the base bid
23 amount of One Hundred Seventy Six Thousand, Six Hundred Ninety Eight and 32/100 Dollars,
24 ($176,698.32)plus a Twenty percent(20%)contingency.
25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Targeted Community Development funds
26 identified for projects in the John Barrow Road Corridor as authorized by Resolution 16,405
27 (August 20, 2024). Account Activity 108129 510C373.
28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
29 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
30 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall
31 remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional
32 was not originally a part of the resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
2 inconsistent with the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such
3 inconsistency.
