HomeMy WebLinkAbout17080 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,080 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH PROFESSIONAL HEALTH SERVICES IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND, 6 SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY-ONE DOLLARS ($165,751.25), PLUS 7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES,FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF 2026 8 FIREFIGHTING PHYSICALS FOR THE LITTLE ROCK FIRE 9 DEPARTMENT;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, the Little Rock Fire Department requires annual firefighting physical examinations 12 for its personnel in order to comply with occupational health and safety standards and to ensure firefighters 13 are medically capable of performing essential job functions; and, 14 WHEREAS,the City solicited competitive bids for these services through Bid Event#228309 and 15 four(4)bids were received and evaluated; and, 16 WHEREAS, Professional Health Services was determined to be the lowest responsive and 17 responsible bidder;and, 18 WHEREAS, funding for these services is available through Benefits Consulting (210279- 19 S00B384), Assistance to Firefighter-20 (108519-S51G036), and Assistance to Firefighter-21 (108519- 20 S51 G049)special projects; and, 21 WHEREAS,the total contract amount shall not exceed One Hundred Sixty-Five Thousand Seven 22 Hundred Fifty-One Dollars and Twenty-Five Cents($165,751.25),plus applicable taxes. 23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 24 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 25 Section 1.The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Professional Health 26 Services for the administration of 2026 firefighting physicals for the Little Rock Fire Department pursuant 27 to Bid Event#228309. 28 Section 2.The total amount authorized for this contract shall not exceed One Hundred Sixty-Five 29 Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-One Dollars and Twenty-Five Cents($165,751.25),plus applicable taxes. 30 Section 3. Funding for this contract shall be paid from Benefits Consulting (210279-S00B384), 31 Assistance to Firefighter-20 (108519-S51 G036), and Assistance to Firefighter-21 (108519-S51 G049) 32 special project funds. [Page 1 of 2] 1 Section 4.The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any documents necessary to carry out 2 the intent of this Resolution. 3 Section 5. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, 4 phrase,or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration 5 or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 6 effect a if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 7 ordinance. 8 Section 6. Repealer.
