The design is planned to be a courtyard typology, preserving the existing Elm tree. The domicile will be comprised of 2 equivalent forms, to represent the expression of public and private space. The Design features a focus towards the Elm tree courtyard habitat, of which landscape is planned to be very thick and lucious. There is an office and art studio in the building at Rock Street. Across the courtyard is the main living area, 1 bedroom, 1 bath open plan design. There is a wood stove in the center of the space, and matched with the rainscreen and triple wall design will provide efficient daylight and natural ventilation strategies to cre- ate a durable, long-lasting and comfortable home.
