can share the perspective with the Commission at the time of your hearing.
Your desire to change the roof to a cedar shake roof may require a deferral of your item. You will need to
broach the subject with the commission at the time of your hearing. The commission will decide if that is a
change that can be made at the last minute.
When a COA is approved, you are bound to the design, materials, placement, size, all details, etc. of that
project. After construction starts, you are required to contact staff if there are any changes (design,
materials, size, etc,) from the approved COA as stated on your application.

I put this together as a quick look at what the site might look like with landscaping, etc.
This is a tentative design, and most plantings will be the same, and I know that landscape
is not necessarily an issue with the design review, but I wanted the commissioners to know
that we are soft-scaping around the house, and plan on a more sustainable and
permaculture based, edible landscape, as opposed to a simple lawn. Thanks
also, we are thinking that instead of worrying about the living roof amendment, we would
just talk about materials and options, or how much can change depending on cost. we are
going to think about cedar shake shingles, treated. This would look very similar to the
asphalt shingle, since the asphalt is more or less just an attempt to copy what shake
shingles really look like. Let me know if this is going to be an issue. thanks again
