A COA is required for new construction, demolition and extensive rehabilitation. Due to the serious level of damage incurred by the 21 January tornado, the structure at 1422 Rock requires an approved COA prior to the implementation of work. Administrative approval was given for you to obtain a building permit in order to expedite emergency repairs; however, the roofing and other major rehab work requires your appearance before and approval by the Little Rock Historic District Commission (LRHDC). Instructions are enclosed for completing the COA application; notification of adjacent property owners of intended rehab work is required by the ordinance. Also the upcoming LRHDC meeting date schedule is enclosed. Two neon green signs must be posted on the property facing both Rock and 15th streets sides; they may be picked up at my office. Please complete the application and let me know when you wish to appear before the LRHDC. If you have any questions about the process, by all means call me at 244-5420. Respectfully, v\..c,_ -,t_ V.
