Property Background Address: 1116 S Rock St Historic Significance: House circa 1880, with barn structure Property Significance: not known as factual but was told it was a mail or stagecoach stop and eatery Property History: Purchased by family member December 1962, rental and family occupancy as original interior, Concrete car drive way added to south end of barn year not known 1980 162 SF added to south end of barn 1985 converted into duplex after a fire Project Overview Original Barn no structural changes Concrete driveway structure Added 162 SF Fence Proposed Modifications Purpose: Structural and roofing components of Driveway and 162 SF structures (southwest end) were damaged by a large portion of a diseased oak tree on property owned by ArDOT. Scope: To remove structural framing, roofing, and siding of driveway and 162 SF areas note: these are two different roof heights Considerations: The areas contained in the Driveway and 162 SF are not historical to the property and serve no purpose for use at this time. Timeline: As soon as project is approved Structural Changes: Wood siding, metal roofing and wood structural supports and framing will be removed The south side of the Barn will not have any structural changes Material Changes: The concrete driveway will remain The concrete slab in the 162 SF will remain A new wood fence will replace the existing fence and the 27ft south side area where siding and framing were removed You don't often get email from kriley13@verizon.net.
