3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
4 ALLOCATE TARGETED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
5 FUNDS TOWARDS IDENTIFIED CAPITAL PROJECTS IN SOUTHWEST
6 LITTLE ROCK'S WARD 7; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, Little Rock,Arkansas Resolution No. 15,382 (January 19, 2021), provided support for a
9 Targeted Community Development Initiative to address a lack of development in and around the South End
10 of Ward 1, the 12th Street Corridor, Portions of Southwest Little Rock in Ward 2, in and around the John
11 Barrow Corridor in Ward 6, and portions of Southwest Little Rock in Ward 7 of the City of Little Rock;
12 and,
13 WHEREAS,it is desirable to fund the identified projects in Southwest Little Rock in Ward 7 from the
14 Targeted Community Development Funds.
15 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
17 Section 1. The Board of Directors intends to accomplish the following neighborhood revitalization,
18 parks, and streets projects in Southwest Little Rock in Ward 7 in an amount of One Million Dollars
19 ($1,000,000.00):
20 a. Preston Drive Project—Four Hundred Thousand Dollars($400,000.00)
21 b. Neighborhood Revitalization—Four Hundred Thousand Dollars($400,000.00)
22 c. Hindman Park—Two Hundred Thousand Dollars($200,000.00)
23 Section 2.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word
24 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication
25 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the
26 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution.
27 Section 3. Repealer. All laws,ordinances,resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
28 the provisions of the is resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
