Home My WebLink About17061 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,061 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH RENAISSANCE CONSTRUCTION FOR THE 5 DEVELOPMENT OF TWO (2) SINGLE-FAMILY NEW CONSTRUCTION 6 PROPERTIES UTILIZING HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS 7 PROGRAM FUNDS;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock receives an annual allocation of HOME Investment 10 Partnerships Program ("HOME") funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development 11 ("HUD")to acquire,develop,and/or rehabilitate housing for low-to-moderate income persons; and, 12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock Housing and Neighborhood Programs Department is 13 committed to increasing the availability of affordable housing within the City; and, 14 WHEREAS,the Housing and Neighborhood Programs Department proposes the development of 15 two (2) single-family residential properties located at 4414 Holt Street and 4412 Holt Street, Little Rock, 16 Arkansas 72204,which will be sold to eligible low-to-moderate income homebuyers; and 17 WHEREAS,the legal descriptions of the properties are as follows: 18 1. Lot 4, Block 9, EUCLID PLACE Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, 19 Arkansas("4414 Holt Street"); and, 20 2. Lot 3, Block 9, EUCLID PLACE Addition to the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, 21 Arkansas("4412 Holt Street");and, 22 WHEREAS, each new construction unit will consist of approximately 1,243 +/- square feet and 23 include three(3)bedrooms,two(2)bathrooms,a great room,dining area,kitchen,laundry area,and garage; 24 and, 25 WHEREAS, Renaissance Construction submitted bids in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty- 26 Five Thousand Dollars ($225,000.00) for each property, for a total contract amount not to exceed Four 27 Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars($450,000.00); and, 28 WHEREAS,funding for this project is available through HOME Investment Partnerships Program 29 Funds,Accounting Unit 240009. 30 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE 31 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 32 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Renaissance 33 Construction for the construction and development of two (2) single-family residential properties located [Page 1 of 21 1 at 4414 Holt Street and 4412 Holt Street, Little Rock,Arkansas, in an amount not to exceed Four Hundred 2 Fifty Thousand Dollars($450,000.00). 3 Section 2. Funding for this project shall be paid from HOME Investment Partnerships Program 4 Funds,Accounting Unit 240009. 5 Section 3.
