SUBJECT: 1406 Rock Street
This is to notify you that Mark and Jamie Blakely have satisfied the preliminary requirements of
the Little Rock Historic District Commission (LRHDC) for their property at 1406 Rock.
Their application for a Certificate of Appropriateness (COA) was reviewed at the 3 May public
hearing of the LRHDC. The Blakely's COA request was to demolish the main structure at 1406
Rock, repair the garage/outbuilding and construct a privacy fence along the property's perimeter.
The repair of the garage and the fence construction is contingent upon the owners submitting
additional information and details on each project.
The demolition of the 1406 structure was approved conditionally and unanimously. The
condition of the demolition approval is that the owners must make a good faith effort to sell the
structure. The house must be placed on the market for three (3) months and should it not sell, it
then may be demolished.
