HomeMy WebLinkAboutnarkinsky house foundationHi Hannah,
I'm inquiring to possibly start the process of doing something with the foundation/plywood panels in between the peers of the Narkinsky house. Below there is a photo for reference. Ultimately,
my goal is to do something that looks more appropriate while sealing out rodents and such.
When we previously discussed this topic on the phone, months ago, you mentioned that installing brick in between the existing peers might be an option. I like that idea if we set the
infill brick back a few inches from the exterior to create a paneled look and still highlight that there are individual peers. I would have to figure out what kind of vents would be
allowed as well. Does this method still sound like something the commission might consider? I know that I have to fill out the COA application. Do I have to provide drawings? Can I
use modern brick made to look like antique brick or do I have to only use reclaimed brick?
Note, I will likely have to paint the entire foundation. The bricks used in the peers are all mixed colors and sizes. Some peers were built/rebuilt at different times etc...
Thanks for your help.
Joe
