Gabe,
Please see attached copy of the signed COA. The original COA will be mailed to the owner’s mailing
address listed with the county assessor. Please upload the attached copy of the signed COA to any
related building permit application when you apply in the permit portal, if any are required.
The COA, or the copy, is required to be posted to the property in a location visible from the public right-
of-way during your project work. This is primarily for our code enforcement officers and surrounding
neighbors to see that the work has been permitted.
Once you have completed the work and are ready for inspection, a COA inspection will need to be
scheduled in addition to regular inspection types relevant to the project scope. At this time, please reach
out to schedule a date and time with me at your convenience to review the work and complete the COA
inspection. For your project scope, this would be when you’ve completed the construction of the
approved fence.
Thanks,

Good afternoon, Gabe,
The Little Rock Historic District Commission reviewed your application and proposal,
HDC2025-005, at the May 1, 2025 meeting. The commission approved your Certificate of
Appropriateness, as submitted. The final vote was 6 ayes, 0 noes, and 1 absent. Please
see attached draft Certificate of Appropriateness for your project at 1420 Commerce
Street. Please review this draft and confirm if the COA reflects the full scope of your
project. Once confirmed, Staff will then sign and send a copy back to you for your records.
Thanks,
