RE: Proposed Land Use Plan Amendment
SE, NE and NW corners of Cantrell Road and LaMarche Drive
Mr. Thrower,
Attached are three (3) copies of the map of the proposed Land Use Plan Amendment for the
above captioned project. Please place this item on the agenda for the October Planning
Commission meeting.
Current Land Use Designations include T, RL and PK/OS. The revised Land Use would be a
combination of C and PK/OS for the floodway.
Conversion of floodplain, shown as PK/OS on the current plan to C is appropriate if the property
is filled above the base flood elevation. With development, this area would be filled and elevated
above the base flood elevation.
With conversion of Cantrell Road to a six-lane section with a median, successful commercial
uses will seek signalized intersections to allow ingress/egress from east bound and west bound
Cantrell Road traffic. Conversion of this area from Transitional to Commercial would be
appropriate.
Please let us know the review fee which will hand deliver under separate cover. We are also
making an application for Rezoning at this time.
