Dear Mrs. Buchanan:
On behalf of the Little Rock Historic District Commission (LRHDC), I am writing to notify you
that the asphalt driveway installed last week in the rear yard of 924 Scott does not comply with
the ordinance and design guidelines for the MacArthur Park Historic District. To pave the
parking area, approval from the LRHDC and a permit should have been obtained for the work.
Asphalt is not a compatible material in the historic district, as there are more appropriate paving
materials that can be utilized.
Consequently, you are requested to appear before the LRHDC at its next scheduled meeting on
Monday, 29 November at 5:00 p.m. in City Hall's Sister Cities Conference Room to present
your action and work. If there are questions, by all means call me at 244-5420.
