Dear Mrs. Guthrie:
Normally I try to not stick my nose in other people's business
but I must take exception to your personal vendetta against
Ms. Deislinger. This is not the first time you have stopped
neighbors from improving their homes and aborting their dreams.
Not everyone has unlimited resources to bring a home to the
original condition, especially a house that was improved at
an earlier time with "picture windows, Permastone siding, etc.".
Ms. Deislinger has only improved what was a neighborhood eyesore.
Instead of being a good neighbor and pitching in to give an
elderly lady assistance you have fought her on every turn.
Do you just like picking on elderly ladies like you did to the
one further up the street, a sweet soul who had had a hard life
and wouldn't hurt anyone. For shame! I, too, love the historic
district, but is it truly better to let a property lie fallow
and go totally to rack and ruin than to let someone live there
and improve to the best of their ability. I -prefer the latter.
Sincerely,
v IL&oyvce
