HISTORIC `DISTRICT January 19, 1995 Mr. Jack Patton Senior Codes Enforcement Officer Department of Neighborhoods and Planning 723 West Markham Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 Regarding: 1006 Rock Street - Application for Demolition Dear Mr. Patton: The Little Rock Historic District Commission on January 12, 1995 denied the application for the demolition of the structure at 1006 Rock Street. EVA I a The application was:denied because the Commission felt the structure's condition is good and that quite alot of original fabric is still intact. Also, the house is very important to the rhythm of the streetscape along that block of Rock Street. The Commission was also concerned about future maintenance of the vacant lot if the house were removed. The Commission requested that the structure be boarded and secured, and that vegetation on the property be maintained, and a lien be placed on the property for those costs. This request will be forwarded to the City Manager for consideration. If you should need further information, please contact me at ext. 6821.
