HomeMy WebLinkAbout17050 l RESOLUTION NO. 17,050 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH SECOND CHANCE FITNESS, INC., IN THE 5 AMOUNT OF SEVENTY-FIVE THOUSAND,EIGHT HUNDRED ELEVEN 6 AND 70/100 DOLLAR ($75,811.70), INCLUDING APPLICABLE TAXES 7 AND FEES, FOR THE PURCHASE OF FITNESS EQUIPMENT WITH 8 FIVE (5)-YEAR QUARTERLY PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE 9 PROGRAM AND A FULL WARRANTY TO OUTFIT THE UNIVERSITY 10 PARK SENIOR CENTRE FACILITY WITH FITNESS EQUIPMENT; AND 11 FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 12 13 WHEREAS,the City's Parks and Recreation Department has a need to purchase fitness equipment to 14 outfit the Senior Center set to open at the Centre at University Park; and, 15 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock,Ark. Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025), as amended, 16 utilizing The Interlocal Purchasing System)Purchasing Cooperative Contract No. 260203, Second Chance 17 Fitness was selected as the vendor to provide the City with fitness equipment, maintenance program and 18 equipment warranties; and, 19 WHEREAS,per Second Chance Fitness's Quote attached hereto as Exhibit A,the total cost to purchase 20 fitness equipment, maintenance program, and equipment warranties is Seventy-Five Thousand, Eight 21 Hundred Eleven and 70/100 Dollars($75,811.70), including applicable taxes and fees. 22 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 24 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Second Chance Fitness,Inc., in 25 the amount of Seventy-Five Thousand, Eight Hundred Eleven and 70/100 Dollars($75,811.70), including 26 applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of fitness equipment with a five(5)-year quarterly preventative 27 maintenance program and a full warranty to outfit the University Park Senior Centre Facility with fitness 28 equipment. 29 Section 2.Funds for this expenditure are available in the Parks Account No. S10A237-108129. 30 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 31 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 32 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution, which shall remain in full force and 1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 2 resolution. 3 Section 4.Repealer.
