HomeMy WebLinkAbout17049 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,049 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH COMMERCIAL AIR, INC. IN AN 5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-ONE 6 THOUSAND, ONE HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR DOLLARS AND 34/100, 7 ($121,164.34), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE 8 PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF HVAC EQUIPMENT FOR THE 9 JIM DAILEY FITNESS AND AQUATIC CENTER; AND FOR OTHER 10 PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department operates the Jim Dailey 13 Fitness and Aquatic Center and the for the benefit and use of the public;and, 14 WHEREAS,the existing HVAC equipment serving the locker rooms of this facility has reached the 15 end of its useful life and requires replacement to maintain proper climate control and ensure continued 16 operation of the facilities;and, 17 WHEREAS, the City's Building Services Division has determined that the purchase of new HVAC 18 equipment is necessary to maintain safe and efficient operations at these facilities;and, 19 WHEREAS, the work will be performed under the cooperative purchasing agreement of TIPS-USA, 20 Contract#23010402. 21 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 22 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 23 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Commercial Air, Inc. in 24 an amount not to exceed One Hundred Twenty-One Thousand, One Hundred Sixty-Four Dollars and 25 34/100 ($121,164.34), including a possible 20% contingency, but not including fees and taxes for the 26 purchase and installation of HVAC equipment for the Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatic Center. 27 Section 2. Funds are available from the Building Services Facility Improvement Account— 108409- 28 S400633 29 Section 3. Severability. In the event any portion of this Resolution is declared or adjudged to be 30 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 31 Resolution,which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 32 unconstitutional was not originally a part of this Resolution.
