Anne Guthrie Historic Preservation Administrator 500 West Markham, #120-W Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 Dear Anne, I am writing to provide the necessary background information on the repair and maintenance construction that is taking place at 1015 Rock Street in the city of Little Rock. This work started over three years ago because the home had several code violations, that had to be corrected even with the property being vacant. I had to address several important issues. Please see enclosed list provided by code enforcement. My goal is to repair the property and bring it back into compliance with city code. Every effort is being made to preserve the historic character of the house. Some of the architectural details have been destroyed by previous owners and therefore could not be reasonably replace. The repair cost will be approximately $15,000 of which about $10,000 were exterior repairs and about $5,000 used for interior repairs. This pricing would not have been possible if my father, my uncle and the other members of my family donated over 85% of the labor. Anne, thank you for your assistance with the project, if you have any additional questions please contact me at (501-265-1925 pager). I look forward to completing this home and seeing our downtown neighborhood become an even more enjoyable place to live. Sincerely, Felton L. Lamb, Jr.
