SUBJECT: Permit for 908 Rock Street

This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District
Commission allowing the property owner of 908 Rock Street (located within the MacArthur
Park Historic District) permission to obtain a building permit. I understand that the permit is to
replace the existing with a new roof; routine maintenance is allowed within the local ordinance
historic district with administrative approval and without appearing before the LRHDC; as such,
and meeting all city, building and health regulations, the application for a building permit should
be approved. If exterior changes or improvements are made that require a Certificate of
Appropriateness (COA), the LRHDC will be notified and appropriate actions taken for a public
hearing. Refer to the COA application instructions or the Design Review Guidelines:
