Dear Mrs. Duffey:
I am pleased to inform you that the Historic District
Commission approved your application for a Certificate of
Appropriateness as per your amended drawings and with the
modifications discussed at the Commission's meeting of
February 19, 1986. The Commission approved your application
for the following reasons:
1. Need for the additional space was demonstrated.
2. The addition, as approved, reflects changes which
could have occurred given the original configuration
of the structure at 809 Rock.
3. The scale, massing and materials proposed of the
approved application are in keeping with the
architectural character of the MacArthur Park
neighborhood.
I would again like to thank you and Mr. Harvey for your
outstanding cooperation in this matter. Please call upon me
if there is ever any way in which I may be of service.
