Thank you for the opportunity to review and comment on the above referenced
application.
As a result of the review of the drawings submitted it is the recommendation
of the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program that the project as proposed
be denied a Certificate of Appropriateness. The proportions and design of
the proposed addition are not in character with the existing structure.
Specific suggestions for the design of the proposed addition would be: in-
crease the height to correspond to the first floor height of the existing
structure; use of windows in the addition which more closely correspond to
the proportions of the windows on the existing structure; increase the pitch
of the roof on the addition to correspond to the pitch of the roof pitch of
the existing structure; and to relocate the second floor side entry to the
rear of the addition.
