I am petitioning for permission to demolish
815 Rock Street because I have tried for six
years to sell it and every prospective buyer
has been discouraged by the high cost of the
restoration of this building. Since the death
of my husband left me with limited funds I
contacted Central Realty Company, who sold one
piece of property so that I could get the
money to repair and restore 809 Rock Street.
My family and I live in this one, which if
a very nice home we all hope to occupy for
many years. The backyard of our home adjoins
the backyard of 815 Rock. My two grandchildren
and their friends play there. I am afraid that
there is a danger to them because of the bad
condition of the building.
I have no plans for another building of any
kind on this property except possibly s
gazebo in an 1890's style. My family would all
enjoy this. Hopefully, this would be a small
substitute and a neighborhood ornament.
