I am submitting this letter in conjunction with an Application for a Certificate of
Appropriateness for proposed changes adjacent to 614 Rock Street.
I live at 617 Cumberland Street, and I also own the property adjoining mine that is
located at 614 Rock Street. This property is a vacant lot that has a business,
AnswerFone, to the north and a residence to the south. There is a privacy fence with a
gate that separates the back of my Cumberland property from this Rock Street property,
and I would like to move this fence forward on the Rock Street Property. This would
provide a yard with room for a garden.
The residence behind me, 618 Rock Street, has privacy fencing that extends 54 feet from
mine. I would like to relocate my fence that same distance toward Rock Street,
connecting to the end of my neighbor's fence and to the privacy fence that extends along
the north side of the property. This width would be a distance of 45 feet, and the
neighbors are in agreement with this plan.
The fence will be made of ACQ treated pine. It will be 6 feet tall, the same height as the
two fences to which it will adjoin, with a cap and trim box post. We will also include a
locking gate that will open to the Rock Street property.
I will submit further documentation, including pictures and a drawing of the work to be
performed by the April 16`h deadline. Please let me know if you require further
information.
