Sorry to bother you but this is getting to be too much. Most of the neighborhood is in a uproar
over this
Some of the neighbors have told me that the Boyd's are going to build a two story house, and
that it will be almost on the front sidewalk in order to accommodate a swimming pool in the
back. I think they need to find a bigger lot or scale it down to what will fit in.
I'm sending you a copy of the email I sent to the Planning Commission.

My family and I have owned the property at 610 Rock Street for about 30 years and I have
rarely if ever had any objections to proposed changes in the neighborhood. I do have some
concerns regarding the application of Tina & Andrew Boyd for 614 Rock Street. It appears the
request is asking for an exception to every rule.
1. The setback from the back edge of the front side walk to the front porch should be no less
than 15 feet.
Anything short of 15 feet would not fit in with the other structures and would impede the view
up and down the street.
2. On the north property line next to my property at 610 Rock Street the original proposal
called for a 7 foot setback. Now it's my understanding that a 5 foot setback is planned.
object to this for several reasons. This plan would effect one of the oldest and most beautiful
trees downtown. The trunk is 6 feet wide and the plan is for a 5 foot setback? The tree would
have to be removed. Even a 7 foot set back is risking the loss of the tree.
3. The proposed home is entirely too close to my building. With the crime and constant foot
traffic in the neighborhood this only provides more hiding areas for the criminal element.

4. The lot is obviously too small for a house of the planned size.
