3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO CONTRACT WITH MOTOROLA SOLUTIONS, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED EIGHTY-FIVE
6 THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED SIXTEEN AND 23/100 DOLLARS
7 ($285,216.23), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR THE
8 PURCHASE OF 36 APX6500 MOBILE RADIOS, SUPPORTING
9 SOFTWARE, AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF OUTFITTING
10 NEW PATROL VEHICLES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, it is critical that the Little Rock Police Department ("LRPD") be equipped and with
13 reliable communication tools and equipment to ensure seamless communication for citizen safety and
14 operational responsiveness;and,
15 WHEREAS,the LRPD has a need to purchase thirty-six (36) Motorola APX6500 Enhanced Mobile
16 Radios from Motorola Solutions, Inc.,with supporting software and components to equip new patrol units
17 in the LRPD's Vehicle Fleet; and,
18 WHEREAS, pursuant to Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,603 (February 18, 2025), as amended,
19 vendor selection was made utilizing Sourcewell cooperative purchasing agreement Contract No. 042021-
20 MOT; and,
21 WHEREAS, per Motorola Solutions Quote attached hereto as Exhibit A, the total cost to purchase
22 thirty-six(36)Motorola APX6500 Enhanced Mobile Radios is Two Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand,Two
23 Hundred Sixteen and 23/100 Dollars($285,216.23), including applicable taxes and fees.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
26 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Motorola Solutions, Inc., in an
27 amount not to exceed Two Hundred Eighty-Five Thousand, Two Hundred Sixteen and 23/100 Dollars
28 ($285,216.23), including applicable taxes and fees, for the purchase of thirty-six(36)Motorola APX6500
29 Enhanced Mobile Radios.
30 Section 2. Funding for this expenditure is available in the State Asset Forfeiture Fund Account No.
31 110520-60050.
32 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or

1 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
2 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
3 resolution.
4 Section 4.Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
5 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
