3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH ZMD LAWN SERVICE,LLC,IN AN AMOUNT
5 NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED NINETY-NINE THOUSAND, EIGHT
6 HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE, AND 46/100 DOLLARS ($299,881.46), PLUS
7 APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR MOWING AND MAINTENANCE
8 OPERATIONS FOR TWENTY-ONE CITY PARKS AND SEVEN PARK
9 FACILITIES, FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR WITH THE OPTION FOR
10 THREE(1)ONE(1)YEAR EXTENSIONS;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS,Parks'staff maintain several Parks'facility sites and continue to oversee the full inventory
13 of locations across the system;and,
14 WHEREAS, the City's Parks and Recreation Department has a need to hire a contractor to provide
15 mowing and grounds maintenance assistance to the Parks'staff in caring for nearly half of the City Park
16 properties; and,
17 WHEREAS, the City put out a request for bids for City Park mowing and maintenance assistance
18 under Event No.221810 for Parks Zones 1 through 3 and Community Center locations and received ten(1)
19 responsive bids; and,
20 WHEREAS, with a bid of Two Hundred Thousand Ninety-Nine, Eight Hundred Eighty-One and
21 46/100 ($299,881.46), including applicable taxes and fees, the one (I) year Parks mowing and ground
22 maintenance contract was awarded to ZMD Lawn Service, LLC.
23 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
24 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS;
25 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with ZMD Lawn Service, LLC, in
26 an amount of Two Hundred Thousand Ninety-Nine, Eight Hundred Eighty-One and 46/100($299,881.46),
27 including applicable taxes and fees,for mowing and ground maintenance of Parks Zones One through Three
28 and the City's Community Centers for a period of one (1)year with the option for three (3), one (1) year
29 extensions.
30 Section 2.Funds for this expenditure are available in Parks Maintenance Account No. 104523-63211.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
32 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4.Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
4 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
