Due to delays with designing availability and contractor availability and then the onset of Covid with its delays, we were unable actively undertake the project until now. To that end we are re -applying requesting the granting of the previously amended and accepted variance from 2.28.2018. Attached are the following docs: 0 2018 approval of application as revised with accepted condition (2.28.2018 -4 pages) 0 An updated survey (11.26.24) and a version with the carport added to the current survey, which was added by Brooks Surveying, and dated 1.12.2026. ® Attached carport Drawings provided by CP Drafting and Design - 6 pages 0 An example of a similar carport concept from our neighborhood ■ Also attached are the communications from the various departments of the permit process who have already accepted the current plans in 2026 and the 3 areas still indicating resubmission. All requested items for resubmission are included in attached docs. The request for zoning variance to have a carport built, to be re -issued as granted before, is being requested so we can have covered and lighted parking for our vehicles and safer access to and from our home in inclement weather. Our home is on the corner of Stonewall and Pierce and backs up to Kavanaugh Boulevard. There is a lot of public parking all around our home for people frequenting the restaurants and stores on Kavanaugh near Pierce. We feel covered/lighted parking will provide us an additional layer of security for our home and cars. This carport will be attached to the home and will have gutters and lighting. The finishes will be in keeping with the finishes on the main house as our goal is for the carport to look as if it has always been a part of the home. Thank you for your renewed consideration. r Susan and Michael Des Re
