3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO.
4 16,793 (SEPTEMBER 2,2025),TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
5 ENTER INTO A (1)-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH HOPE
6 LAWNCARE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED
7 THIRTY-EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-TWO AND
8 20/100 DOLLARS ($138,772.20) FOR RIGHT OF WAY MOWING AND
9 TRIMMING WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND
10 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, right-of-way mowing and trimming is needed within the City of Little Rock to
13 maintain public right-of-way along City streets,and
14 WHEREAS, the contract mowing for this program will be in three (3) phases to allow for the
15 participation of small contractors with Phase 1 contract to provide contractor assistance to the Public Works
16 Department with mowing some right-of-way along street segments located in Wards 1 and 2;and,
17 WHEREAS, the City issued an Invitation to Bid No. 3044 for Right of Way Mowing and
18 Trimming Phase 1 Program on August 6,2025,and HOPE Lawncare,a qualified bidder,submitted the only
19 bid to do this work.
20 WHEREAS, the City wishes to exercise its option to extend the contract for the first of two (2)
21 additional (1)-year terms with Hope Lawncare in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Eight
22 Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Two and 20/100 Dollars ($138,772.20), which includes a 20%
23 contingency for right-of-way mowing and trimming.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to extend the contract with Hope
27 Lawncare in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty-Eight Thousand, Seven Hundred Seventy-Two
28 and 20/100 Dollars ($138,772.20), which includes a 20% contingency, for right-of-way mowing and
29 trimming.
30 Section 2. Funding for this contract is available in account 205409-S40B680.
31 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
32 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
33 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and

1 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
2 resolution.
3 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are inconsistent
4 with the provisions Little Rock, Ark, Resolution 16,793 (September 2, 2025), are hereby repealed to the
5 extent of such inconsistency.
