NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT an application for a Certificate of Appropriateness on the
above described property requesting the following changes: O -� i.:_r. S �-u�t_,
has been filed with the Department of Planning and Development. A Public Hearing on said
application will be held by the Historic District Commission in the Board of Directors Chambers,
City Hall, second floor, 500 W. Markham Street on (date)at 5:00 p.m.
ALL PARTIES IN INTEREST MAY APPEAR and be heard at said time and place or may notify
the Little Rock Historic District Commission of their views on this matter by letter. AN persons
interested in this request are invited to call or visit the Department of Planning and
Development to review the application with Commission Staff.
Instructions for applicant: Please return the completed form and signed affidavit, UNCUT, to staff no later than
five (5) days prior to the public hearing. Mail the top portion Notice of Public Hearing" to provide ten (10) days
notice prior to the public hearing date.

that are not reflected on that list that I have knowledge of within 150 feet of the above -described property, that
subject property is being considered for a Certificate of Appropriateness and that a Public Hearing will be held

My main question is Who is going to be proud that this was approved in ten years with all the improvements and progress
going on downtown? Changes made do not matter! Does this fit our guidelines?

I am sorry but I disagree with your staff approval. I cannot see how the proposed building for 1011 McMath could in any
way be considered proper in -fill for the MacArthur Park Historic District. Especially for such a prominent location.

Attached are elevations in response your latest comments and chart emailed March 9th.
Regarding item 11: Dimensions and change in grade are noted in the originally submitted construction permit
drawings; no changes are proposed. Slope of sidewalk is set to be less than 1:20 to avoid definition as a "ramp"
which would trigger the requirement for handrails which were not shown nor approved in the HDC submittal
Regarding item 15: The narrowing of SE entry door and window is the result of changing wall framing from
2x4 to 2x6 members. This change was recommended by the structural engineer.
It is our belief that all items from your latest correspondence have been addressed. Please review and respond at
your earliest convenience. If you have any questions let me know.
