The hearing will be held in the Board Room at City Hall at 500 West Markham on the second floor. The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. Your amendment will be item One on the agenda. You or your agent must be present in order for the item to be heard. The application states that "A description of materials for all exterior surfaces to be used including but not limited to foundations, walls, windows, doors, roof and exterior surfaces and details including sizes, manufacturer, model number and color." The following information will need to be submitted to Staff by August 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. to complete your submittals for the filing. If you are not including any of the items below, please respond with "not applicable". Foundation: List materials, finishes, and height. Are these houses on a slab on grade? What is the finished floor elevation in relation to the finished grade of the site? Steps to house: List materials and finishes and provide sketch of finished steps. Provide materials and finishes and provide sketch of handrails, if applicable. Walls: Your cover letter states corrugated Corten Stl. Wall panel. Please state model number of siding, orientation, and finish. Is this 7/8" corrugated, 1/2" corrugated, R panel, Western Rib, or another model? Also, state size, material, finish, and model number of any trim boards around doors and windows. Siding and trim boards need to be shown on the drawings. Include floor to ceiling height on all floors and porches. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. You submitted a print from the internet on white oak. What are the dimensions of the wood that you will be using? Is it tongue and groove, butt jointed, or something else? 1 of 3 How will it be fastened to the house? What is the orientation of the wood? Describe the "stained white oak" finish. You provided an image of brick and labeled it King Brick. Describe the size of King Brick and proposed color you are to use. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Windows: Specify brand, model number, finish, and size for all windows. Will any of these have mullions attached? Four are labeled fixed. Specify each window as casement, awning, double hung, single hung, etc. Label windows that will be used for emergency exits from bedroom areas. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Doors: Specify brand, model number, finish, and size for all exterior doors and garage doors. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Lighting: You provided a print from a website named Build.com Progress lighting fixture #P5741-30 in white. Where are these to be located? Specify location, brand, model number, finish, and size for all exterior lighting either affixed to house, garage, or freestanding. Label lighting locations on structures. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Gutters: Show locations of gutters on elevations with size and materials of guttering and downspouts. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Mechanical Systems: State location of any exterior air conditioning/heating system units. Satellite Dishes: State location and details on any satellite dish. If not using a dish, please state so. Roof: Provide pitch of all roofs and depth of all eaves. Please verify that this is a 9/12 roof pitch. Are these soffits enclosed or open rafters? Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Describe the porch over the side door with elevation sketches, sizes and dimensions, materials used for structure, and roofing materials. Roofing: Your drawings state a standing seam roof in Corten Steel. Provide a manufacturer, model number, finish, and size for roofing material. Provide spacing of standing seams on installed roofing. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Chimney: Are there any chimneys on these houses? Solar Collectors: Provide details on locations, size, material, location, and finish. How much of the roof will be covered with the panels? How many will be installed? How much roof will be left exposed at the top, bottom and sides of the solar panel array? Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Fencing on site: Provide details and locations on fencing, size, material, and finish. Provide cut sheets from manufacturers on all items. Site Plan: Provide site plan with dimension of setbacks on house and fencing in relation to other buildings on the site and to the property lines. Provide distances from front property line on each structure. Walks/Sidewalks/Drives: Provide information on city sidewalk repair or replacement. Provide information on any private sidewalks and vehicular drive/parking pads with size, 2 of 3 materials, and finish. Provide width of each driveway. Landscaping: Provide details on any wall, planting bed border, or any other fixed inert building material used in permanent landscaping structures. Elevations: Submit dimensioned elevations for height and width of all elevations. CMU Block: Where is the CMU block to be used? The above list was generated from the MacArthur Park Historic District Guidelines for Rehabilitation and New Construction August 2013. Failure to provide all information requested above in a complete manner before 5:00 pm August 19, 2016, will result in a Staff recommendation of Deferral on this application. I have spoken with Donna James and Tony Bozynski on this application. They agreed that this application, if approved, would require a revision to the PCD on this property.
