Home My WebLink About22753 1 ORDINANCE NO.22,753 2 3 AN ORDINANCE TO DECLARE IT IMPRACTICAL AND UNFEASIBLE 4 TO BID; TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A 5 ONE (1) YEAR ADVANCED PURCHASE ORDER CONTRACT 6 EXTENSION WITH SIDDONS MARTIN EMERGENCY GROUP, LLC, IN 7 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND 8 DOLLARS ($500,000.00), PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR 9 PIERCE FIRE APPARATUS PARTS AND SERVICE FOR THE FIRE 10 TRUCKS IN CITY'S FLEET;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,it is a necessity for Fleet Services to be equipped with reliable parts and services for minor 13 maintenance and repair of Pierce Fire Trucks and Apparatus in the City's Fleet to ensure readiness to 14 respond to emergencies in the City;and, 15 WHEREAS, Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC is the only authorized Pierce dealer that can 16 provide parts and service for Pierce equipment in the Central Arkansas area.;and, 17 WHEREAS, Little Rock,Ark. Ordinance No 22,610 (May 6, 2025), authorized the initial one-year 18 contract term with an option to extend the contract for up to two(2)additional one(1)year terms;and, 19 WHEREAS,the City's Fleet Services Department wishes to exercise the option to extend the Pierce 20 Fire Apparatus Parts& Services Advanced Purchase Order Contract for a second,one(1)-year term of the 21 three(3)previously authorized extension per the above-referenced resolution; and, 22 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 23 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 24 Section 1.The Board of Directors declares that it is impractical and unfeasible to bid this contract. 25 Section 2.The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a sole-source,second 26 one (1)year extension of Pierce Fire Apparatus Parts & Services Advanced Purchase Order Contract with 27 Siddons Martin Emergency Group, LLC, in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Thousand Dollars 28 ($500,000.00), including applicable taxes and fees. 29 Section 3. Funds for this contract are allocated in the Fleet Maintenance Account No. 600031-63371 & 30 Fleet Parts Account No. 600013-60310. 31 Section 4.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 32 of this ordinance is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication 33 shall not affect the remaining portions of the ordinance which shall remain in full force and effect as if the [Page 1 of 2] 1 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the ordinance. 2 Section 5.Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, including but not limited 3 to Little Rock,Ark.
