RIGGS TRACTOR COMPANY, IN AN AMOUNT 7 NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS($500,000.00), 8 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR CATERPILLAR PARTS 9 AND SERVICE FOR CATERPILLAR HEAVY EQUIPMENT AND 10 MACHINERY IN CITY'S FLEET;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,it is a necessity for Fleet Services to be equipped with reliable parts and services for minor 13 maintenance and repair of Caterpillar heavy equipment and machinery in the City's Fleet to ensure readiness 14 to respond to Public Works needs in the City; and, 15 WHEREAS, J.A. Riggs Tractor Company is the only authorized Caterpillar dealer that can provide 16 parts and service for Caterpillar equipment in the Central Arkansas area.;and, 17 WHEREAS, Little Rock,Ark. Ordinance No 22,612 (May 6, 2025), authorized the initial one-year 18 contract term with an option to extend the contract for up to two(2)additional one(1)year terms; and, 19 WHEREAS,the City's Fleet Services Department wishes to exercise the option extend the Caterpillar 20 Parts and Service Advanced Purchase Order Contract for a second, one (1)-year term of the three (3) 21 previously authorized extension per the above-referenced resolution; and, 22 WHEREAS, the total cost of a second one (1)-year extension of the Caterpillar Parts & Services 23 Advanced Purchase Order Contract with J.A. Riggs Tractor Company is in an amount not to exceed Five 24 Hundred Thousand Dollars($500,000.00), including applicable taxes and fees. 25 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 26 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 27 Section 1.The Board of Directors hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a sole-source,second 28 one (1)year extension of Caterpillar Parts& Services Advanced Purchase Order Contract with J.A. Riggs 29 Tractor Company, in an amount not to exceed Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00), including 30 applicable taxes and fees. 31 Section 2.Funds for this contract are allocated in the Fleet Maintenance Account Nos.: 600031-63371 & 32 600036-63372 and Fleet Parts Account No. 600013-60310. 33 Section 3. Because J.A.
