HomeMy WebLinkAbout17015 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,015 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH CLARITY POOLS, LLC, IN AN AMOUNT 5 NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($85,000.00), 6 PLUS APPLICABLE TAXES AND FEES, FOR MONTHLY AND ANNUAL 7 REGULAR POOL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR SERVICES AT JIM 8 DAILEY FITNESS AND AQUATIC CENTER AND SOUTHWEST 9 COMMUNITY CENTER;AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS,the City's Parks& Recreation Department who oversees the operation of the Jim Dailey 12 Fitness and Aquatic Center and Southwest Community Center pool facilities, is in need of regular pool 13 maintenance and repair service vendor; and, 14 WHEREAS, on May 15, 2025, the City's Procurement Division partnered with the City's Parks & 15 Recreation Department to issue an Invitation to Quote for regular pool maintenance and repair services for 16 the City's pool facilities;and, 17 WHEREAS, upon the close of bidding on June 19, 2025, Clarity Pools, LLC's bid responsive to the 18 City's Invitation to Quote was the lowest, responsive,and responsible bid of three submitted; 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 20 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 21 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Clarity Pools,LLC,in an amount 22 not to exceed Eighty-Five Thousand Dollars($85,000.00), including applicable taxes and fees,for monthly 23 and annual pool maintenance and repairs at Jim Dailey Fitness and Aquatic Center and Southwest 24 Community Center. 25 Section 2. Funds for this expenditure are available from the Parks Account Nos. accounts 104801- 26 63211 and 104536-63211. 27 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 28 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 29 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 30 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 31 resolution. 32 Section 4. Repealer.All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with 33 the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
