I have copied that information to the person that will be signing off on the improvements. I will be out of the office on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Please call to let me know when you are coming. 371-4789 Brian -----Original Message ----- From: BYL HARRIELL [mailto:byl@bylites.com] Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2006 1:01 PM To: Minyard, Brian Subject: McGowen Street Brian There was a flurry of activity around here yesterday, and a great deal of construction debris was picked up at the 1015 McGowan address(there's still plenty to go). If I have you to thank for that- thank you very much. I do however have some outstanding questions about what constitutes a finished appearance for the structure. Will all of the mechanical equipment be masked? When we moved into our address, I was asked to build a privacy fence for the overhead door and surround our mechanical with plantings. Will the run-off into the alley be addressed? There has been no activity on the address since September, so again I ask- are they done? Thanks again Byl Harriell President Bylites, Inc. 712 E. 11th Street Little Rock, AR. 72202 Phone:501-372-4488 Fax:501-371-0030 Email: l"b.ylites.com 1/19/2006 1 M5 McGowan Page 1 of 1 Minyard, Brian From: Minyard, Brian Sent: Friday, January 06, 2006 3:46 PM To: 'BYL HARRIELL' Subject: RE: 1015 McGowan I have given this to the appropriate city staff for resolution. If you have not seen results by the end of January, please email me back or call me. Thanks for your interest. Brian Minyard Historic District Commission Staff -----Original Message ----- From: BYL HARRIELL [mailto:byl@bylites.com] Sent: Friday, January 06, 2006 1:39 PM To: Minyard, Brian Subject: 1015 McGowan Brian I own the old Hunter Memorial Methodist Church(AKA old Arkansas Repertory Theatre) at 712 East 11th and operate my business Bylites out of it. Over the last year a hotel/prison looking building has grown up just east of us, facing McGowan - the interstate access road to serve as a privately owned dorm for the Bowen Law School. The building site is littered with construction debris, the landscaping unfinished, the soil running off and filling our common alley and all of the exterior mechanical equipment more than visible from the street. Now there are people living in the dorms, so I wonder: do the builders have their C.O.? If they do, is this the best the building is going to look? I would have thought that the BOA or Historic Commission would require a more pleasant exterior in this area. Would you please let me know who I might speak to in order to answer some questions about this structure?
