The Arc Arkansas has taken the following steps to help alleviate neighbors concerns
about the rezoning of Eastside Auditorium for Multi family use:
If The Arc is allowed to complete Phase II, we will have an investment of $ 7 million
dollars in one block in the downtown historic neighborhood. The renovation of this
historic property will enhance the appearance of the neighborhood and increase property
values.
We Have implemented a No Pet Policy for t116 existing apartments ( current residents with
pets will be allowed to keep them ) and we Will not allow pets in the new apartments.
We have placed two pet waste plastic bag dispensers with a sign on the property for
residents and -neighbors to use to clean up after their pets.
The one early morning trash pick up on Fridays has been changed to a noon pickup.
We have a Police officer living in the building who is on call to handle any situation or
complaints.
There is a call box at the front entrance and the back entrance that rings directly to the
Property Managers cell phone. The Property Manager lives at Trinity Court Apartments
which are only six blocks away at 20" and Main.
With the addition of Phase II, we will have a live in Resident Manager.
By adding Phase II we will be able to treat the whole block as one property. The
landscape design will incompass both Phases including the addition of mature plantings
to immediately enhance the appearance of the property. We will clean and maintain the
brick sidewalk on 15d' Street, prune existing trees, finish privet hedge around the property
And trim existing privet hedge.
We will add uplighting to the front of the buildings to make the property
more attractive at night.
The door on Cumberland Street will be an emergency exit only.
The Arc can make the Community Room at Eastside Lofts available for neighborhood
meetings. Scheduling will be done through The Arc offices.
We are also working with the City of Little Rock on the landscape design for the parking
lot and will meet all city requirements on design, lighting, light trespass, landscaping,
etc..
We anticipate losing only one tree that was damaged by the 1999 tornado and is already
dying. The two dead trees on the Eastside Lofts Phase I property will be removed.

I have enclosed all the scale drawings to requested. The pedestrian handrail will remain
