Subject: 1400 Cumberland St. Eastside Auditorium
Date: August 2, 2006
The submittal dated July 26, 2006 did not respond to any of the following items that
were stated on the memo dated June 7, 2006. Please submit further information
concerning this application. The filing deadline for the next HDC meeting is August 11,
2006.
Six Review items From MacArthur Park Historic District:
1. Make application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for exterior lighting plan for
parking lot and entirety of site.
2. Label all plants on site, both existing and proposed. HDC approval was the retention
of privet hedge on perimeter of site. This needs to be preserved and interplanted to fill
holes in hedge.
3. Resolve conflict of sidewalk exiting north entry of classroom building going to parking
lot. Is sidewalk to be installed, or will plants be there?
4. Locate all utility transformers and utility equipment to be located on the site (electric
transforms, phone boxes, etc.). Provide plan for screening these from street.
5. Make application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for locations of air conditioning
condensing units for new building. Include all exposed piping and wiring in application.
6. Provide information on permeable gravel paver system for Historic District Staff.
