HomeMy WebLinkAboutHDC2005-019 Letter From Jennifer Herron, AIA CC Steve Hitt File To Brian Minyard With LOLRDOPAD 04/04/2005March 25, 2005 Mr. Brian Minyard City of Little Rock Dept. of Planning and Development 723 West Markham Street Little Rock, AR 72201 Dear Brian: R,ECEIVED APR 0 4 2005 BY: I am writing in reference to the renovation of the Eastside Auditorium application for the ARC of Arkansas. I have been retained to write the historic tax credit application for the auditorium and wish to assure you and your staff that every effort will be made to comply with the Standards for Rehabilitation established by the National Park Service. We are currently researching old photographs in order to find a description of the original windows and will look to the National Park Service for any direction on the existing fire escape and railing. The ARC of Arkansas has been successful on many historic renovation projects in the downtown area. A similar recent example is the renovation of Westside Auditorium into office space/clinic for the Dennis Development Center. Although the Westside Auditorium was not a historic tax credit project, it had to comply with the Standards for Rehabilitation because it was connected to the Westside Junior High School Loft project. The loft project was successfully approved for historic tax credits. Other projects include the Eastside Lofts, Trinity Apartments on Main Street, Hot Springs High School Annex and currently St. Anthony's in Morrilton, Arkansas. Please call me if there are questions. Sincerely, I v 'Jennifer Herron, AIA cc: Steve Hitt file H E R R O N H 0 R T O N 300 S. Spring St. Ste. 720 Little Rock, AR 72201 www.hh-architects.com tel. 501-975-0052 fax. 501-978-0078 ARCHITECTS
