I visited with Steve Hitt, of ARC Arkansas and discussed the following items to be completed prior to a CO being issued. 1. Disturbed lawn area may be seeded with perennial rye. Germination must be present for final Certificate of Occupancy to be signed. 2. Sidewalk from northwest corner of site to parking lot. Extend sidewalk at same width as original to the back of the curb. Ramp sidewalk to meet top of curb. Remove sidewalk as needed to an existing joint line. 3. Sidewalk to northwest of classroom building. Extend sidewalk at same width as original to the back of the curb. Ramp sidewalk to meet top of curb. Remove sidewalk as needed to an existing joint line. 4. Install sidewalk around dumpster and handicap access walk. 5. Install 5 foot wide sidewalk from existing sidewalk /stairs on north side of existing classroom building to new parking lot. Center sidewalk on parking stripe. 6. Install dumpster enclosure and fence area. Consider modifying ac unit fencing in light of dumpster fence placement. 7. Stripe curb and gutter on permeable gravel system parking spaces to designate spaces. 8. Install one crepe myrtle in each island and there equally spaced ten feet south of north property line between driveway and existing tree to remain. Crepes to be a minimum of three canes, each cane to be 1 inch minimum caliper and at least 6 feet in height. Species must be of a variety that achieves 20' at maturity. The crape myrtles shall be maintained in the following manner: 1) Prune in late winter through early February when trees are dormant. 2) Check tree for rubbing branches and remove one of the branches at a lower branch or branch collar 1 of 2 (where the branch joins the trunk). 3) Remove all suckers at the base of the tree while leaving the original three to five trunks. 4) Remove horizontal branches that grow towards the center of the tree. 5) Remove all horizontal branches gradually over a period of years that are below eight feet. 6) Remove seed heads just below seed head. It is not necessary to remove these, but you may if you wish. 7) Do not top tree or reduce in height. 9. Shrubbery should be 18" high at planting. Dwarf Burford Hollies are suitable. Plant 4 feet on center along south side of parking lot and on west side ob building north of air conditioning units. Mulch beds to the west of the ac units on west side of building. 10. Water oak tree on north side of building to be a min of 2 inch caliper at planting. 11.Add 15 privet hedge along north property line between existing fence and west property line. 12. A Temporary Certificate of Occupancy is possible provided certain items are complete. A cashiers check or bonding will be necessary.
