Anne Guthrie, Historic Preservation Administrator DATE: 3 November 1999 SUBJECT: Permit for 1401 Cumberland This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District Commission allowing the property owner of 1401 Cumberland (located within the MacArthur Park Historic District) permission to obtain a building permit. I understand that the permit is for repairs due to the damage caused by the January 21 tornado -- repair soffits and facia, rotten decking on front porches, roofing and front attic vent. There will be no change to the roof line, pitch, profile, footprint, or introduction of new building materials; there will be no installment of materials that are not architecturally appropriate. Regular maintenance is allowed within the local ordinance historic district with an administratively approved Certificate of Appropriateness (COA); as such, and meeting all city, building and health regulations, the application for a, building permit should be approved.
