HomeMy WebLinkAbout17001 1 RESOLUTION NO. 17,001 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH EVOLUTIONARY SYSTEMS CORP. 5 DOING BUSINESS AS MASTEK INC.,IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED 6 THREE MILLION, SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS 7 ($3,600,000.00), PLUS TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR A TERM NOT TO 8 EXCEED THREE (3) YEARS, FOR IMPLEMENTATION AND 9 HYPERCARE TO LAUNCH AND SUPPORT ORACLE FUSION 10 SOFTWARE APPLICATIONS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS,the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a new Enterprise Resource Planning 13 (ERP) System and Implementation in August 2024 to replace the City's current ERP Infor Lawson; and 14 WHEREAS,the City received 15 submissions as part of the RFP process that concluded in September 15 2024; and, 16 WHEREAS,the City held demonstrations with seven of the 15 submitters, which encompassed all of 17 the ERP systems submitted in early 2025; and, 18 WHEREAS, the City narrowed the list down to three finalists in Spring and Summer of 2025 and 19 requested sandbox demonstration platforms to test out the applications;and, 20 WHEREAS, the City, through the technical proposals, demonstrations, and sandbox demonstration 21 platforms,has determined that the Oracle Fusion Software is the best fit for the City's needs; and, 22 WHEREAS, the City has determined that Evolutionary System Corp. d/b/a Mastek Inc. is the best 23 provider to assist the City with the implementation of the Oracle Fusion Software Applications. 24 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 25 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 26 Section 1.The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Evolutionary Systems Corp. 27 doing business as Mastek Inc., in an amount not to exceed an amount not to exceed Three Millions, Six 28 Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,600,000.00), plus travel expenses for Oracle Fusion Enterprise Resource 29 Planning(ERP) Software or implementation and hypercare,for a period of three(3)year. 30 Section 2. Funding for this one-time expenditure will come from various one-time funding sources 31 allocated to the project. 32 Section 3.Severability.In the event any title,section,paragraph,item,sentence,clause,phrase,or word 33 of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such declaration or adjudication [Page 1 of 2] 1 shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and effect as if the 2 portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the resolution. 3 Section 4. Repealer.
