Home My WebLink About16993 1 RESOLUTION NO. 16,993 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO. 4 16,854 (OCTOBER 21,2025),TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO 5 ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AMENDMENT WITH SAMSARA, INC., IN 6 AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIVE HUNDRED THIRTY THOUSAND 7 FIVE HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE AND 20/100 DOLLARS ($530,571.20) 8 PLUS A TEN PERCENT (10%) CONTINGENCY, TO OUTFIT CITY 9 VEHICLES IN THE CITY'S FLEET SERVICES DEPARTMENT WITH IN- 10 CAR GPS AND CAMERAS HARDWARE AND LICENSES FOR THE 11 REMAINING TERM OF THE CONTRACT; AND FOR OTHER 12 PURPOSES. 13 14 WHEREAS,pursuant to Little Rock,Ark Resolution No. 16,677 (May 6, 2025)as amended, vendor 15 selection of Samsara, Inc.,was made utilizing Sourcewell Contract 020221-SAM; and, 16 WHEREAS,the City of Little Rock("City")Board of Directors("Board")adopted Little Rock, Ark. 17 Resolution No. 16,371 (May 21, 2024), authorizing the City Manager to enter into a three (3) year 18 agreement with Samsara, Inc., in an annual amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand, Six 19 Hundred Sixty-Nine and 60/ 100 Dollars ($215,669.60), which includes a twenty-five percent (25%) 20 contingency, for in-car GPS and camera hardware and licenses;and, 21 WHEREAS, the Board amended Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,371 (May 21, 2024) with the 22 adoption of Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,817 (September 16, 2025)authorizing the City Manager 23 to enter into a contract amendment with Samsara, Inc. in an annual amount not to exceed Two Hundred 24 Sixty-Eight Thousand Dollars ($268,000.00), which includes a contingency, for in-car GPS, camera 25 hardware,and licensing for the City's Fleet Services Department for a term of four(4)years; and, 26 WHEREAS, amended Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,817 (September 16, 2025) with the 27 adoption of Little Rock, Ark. Resolution No. 16,854 (October 21, 2025) authorizing the City Manager to 28 enter into a contract amendment with Samsara, Inc., in an annual amount not to exceed Two Hundred 29 Seventy- Seven Thousand Four Hundred Thirty-Six Dollars ($277,436.00) plus a fifteen percent (15%) 30 contingency,for in-car GPS and camera hardware and licensing,for a period of four(4)years;and, 31 WHEREAS, the Fleet Services Department has identified the need to update additional in-car GPS 32 and camera hardware currently installed in vehicles in the City Fleet Services Department and an additional 33 amendment to the contract with Samsara, Inc. is needed;and, [Page 1 of31 1 WHEREAS, the total annual cost to amend the remaining thirty-eight (38) months in the License 2 agreement with Samsara,Inc.,for in-car GPS and camera hardware and licensing, is in a total amount not 3 to exceed Five Hundred Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-One and 20/100 Dollars ($530,571.20), 4 plus a ten percent(10%)contingency per the Samsara Quote attached hereto as Exhibit A. 5 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 6 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS; 7 Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract amendment with Samsara,Inc., in a 8 total amount not to exceed Five Hundred Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Seventy-One and 20/100 Dollars 9 ($530,571.20), plus a ten percent(10%) contingency, for the remaining period of the contract for in-car 10 GPS and camera hardware and licensing. 11 Section 2.Funds for this purchase are allocated in Fleet Parts,Account No. 600013-63211. 12 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or 13 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or 14 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and 15 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the 16 resolution. 17 Section 4.Repealer.
