Dear Ms. Taul.
On behalf of the Little Rock Historic District Commission, I am writing to notify you
formally that your request to retain the vinyl siding on the north side of the structure at
1305 Cumberland was approved with conditions, at the July meeting. On 6 July, I
mailed you a signed copy of the Certificate of Appropriateness with the conditions,
along with the listing of property owners within 150 feet, as you had requested.
The motion, and subsequent unanimous vote, was that the existing vinyl siding on the
north elevation may remain on condition that the soffit and dripboard be added and that
the vinyl wraparound on the northwest cornerboard be removed to more closely match
the original wooden siding; these conditions must be met within six months. From the
date of approval, the conditions must be in place either on or before 2 January 1999.
