Anne Guthrie, Historic Preservation Adminstrator 03/04/1999City of Little Rock Department of Housing & Neighborhood Programs Historic Preservation 615 West Markham, Suite 100, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201 MEMORANDUM TO: Charles Toland, Permits Administrator FROM: V. Anne Guthrie, Historic Preservation Administrator DATE, 4 March 1999 SUBJECT: Permit for 1319 Cumberland This memo serves as administrative approval from the Little Rock Historic District Commission allowing the property owner of 1319 Cumberland (located within the MacArthur Park Historic District) permission to obtain a building permit. I understand that the permit is for repairs due to the damage caused by the January 21 tornado -- a new roof installed, chimney and siding repairs. There is no change to the roof line, pitch or building materials. Regular maintenance is allowed within the local ordinance historic district without a Certificate of'Appropriateness (COA); as such, and meeting all city, building and health regulations, the application for a building permit should be approved. If exterior changes or improvements are made that require a COA (see the Design Review Guidelines: MacArthur Park Historic District), the LRHDC will be notified and appropriate actions taken for a public hearing. 0
