3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
4 INTO A CONTRACT WITH BOYLES CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN
5 AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THREE HUNDRED ONE THOUSAND, SIX
6 HUNDRED THIRTY-TWO AND 76/100 DOLLARS, ($301,632.76), FOR
7 THE 36TH STREET SIDEWALK PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER
8 PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, it has been deemed appropriate and necessary to analyze and design sidewalk
11 improvements to provide a pedestrian connection from Col Glenn Road to Boyle Park Road; and,
12 WHEREAS, project improvements include construction of a sidewalk, with associated curb &
13 gutter and retaining wall,grading and related work;and,
14 WHEREAS, responses to an Invitation to Bid ("ITB"), Bid No. 215928 for 36th Street Sidewalk
15 were received by the City of Little Rock on January 29,2026; and,
16 WHEREAS,thirteen(13)bids were received,and it was determined that Boyles Construction,Inc,
17 provided the lowest,responsive,responsible bid meeting specifications.
18 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
19 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
20 Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement for the 36th Street
21 Sidewalk project with Boyles Construction,Inc. in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred One Thousand,
22 Six Hundred Thirty-Two and 76/100 Dollars,($301,632.76),which is the base bid amount of Two Hundred
23 Fifty One Thousand,Three Hundred Sixty and 64/100 Dollars,($251,360.64)plus a Twenty percent(20%)
24 contingency.
25 Section 2. Funding for this project is from the Targeted Community Development funds identified
26 for projects in the John Barrow Road Corridor as authorized by Resolution 16,405 (August 20, 2024).

28 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase,
29 or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
30 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
31 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally a part of the
32 resolution.

1 Section 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent
2 with the provisions of this resolution,are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
