3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO.
4 16,691 (MAY 20, 2025), TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO
5 ENTER INTO A ONE (1)-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH THE
6 GRIFFIN GROUP, LLC IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED SEVENTY-
7 SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED SIXTY-SIX AND 35/100
8 DOLLARS ($77,866.35), FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY MOWING AND
9 TRIMMING WITHIN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND
10 FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

12 WHEREAS, right-of-way mowing and trimming is needed within the City of Little Rock to
13 maintain public rights-of-way along City streets;and,
14 WHEREAS, the contract mowing for this program will be in three (3) phases to allow for the
15 participation of small contractors. This Phase 3 contract will provide contractor assistance to the Public
16 Works Department by mowing some right-of-way along street segments located in Wards 2 and 7; and,
17 WHEREAS, the City issued an Invitation to Bid No. 3033 for Right of Way Mowing and
18 Trimming Phase 3 Program on April 21, 2025,and two(2)bids were received,and it was determined that
19 The Griffin Group, LLC was the lowest responsible and responsive bid,meeting specifications; and,
20 WHEREAS, The City wishes to exercise its option to extend the contract for the first of two (2)
21 additional one (1)-year terms with The Griffin Group, LLC, in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Seven
22 Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Six and 35/100 Dollars ($77,866.35), which includes a 20% contingency,
23 for right of way mowing and trimming.
24 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 SECTION 1. The Board of Directors authorizes the City Manager to extend the contract with
27 The Griffin Group, LLC, in an amount not to exceed Seventy-Seven Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty-Six
28 and 35/100 Dollars ($77,866.35), which includes a 20% contingency, for right-of-way mowing and
29 trimming.
30 SECTION 2. Funding for this contract is available in account 205409-S40B680.
31 SECTION 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause,
32 phrase, or word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such
33 declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in

1 full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional was not originally
2 a part of the resolution.
3 SECTION 4. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same, that are
4 inconsistent with the provisions Little Rock, Ark., Resolution 16,691 (May 20, 2025),are hereby repealed
5 to the extent of such inconsistency.
6 SECTION 5. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
7 adoption.
